class Testimonials
Ken was my first teacher for my very first jewelry class. I thought I was signing up to learn a fun new hobby, but Ken’s knack for teaching and his own enthusiasm around the craft ignited a desire in me for something much larger.
Two years later, I am working professionally in the fine jewelry space, and I owe so much of my career trajectory to Ken. Most of what I do now is on the design side of things, but I wouldn’t be able to design at all without the techniques I learned from Ken.
The metalsmithing and traditional bench jeweler techniques I learned from Ken completely informs my design process, so that I am making pieces that are not only beautiful, but also structurally sound and built to last. The wax carving techniques I learned are the foundations my current CAD designs are built upon. Everything I learned in Ken’s class has been imperative to my success as a jeweler, and I am so grateful I ended up at that bench, with Ken as my teacher!

Taking jewelry classes with Ken was incredibly formative to explore jewelry making as both a hobby and side hustle. My favorite thing about working with Ken is that he gave me personalized feedback for each one of my projects and knew when to challenge my skills further. Thanks to Ken, I've been able to make beautiful pieces for myself and my loved ones!

I took 2 full sessions with Ken and I really enjoyed my time. In addition to the fundamentals, Ken enables you to build your vision and gives you the skills to help bring that to life. Even post the sessions, I have enjoyed making jewelry on my own now as a continuous hobby and I feel equipped to do so.

Ken was an incredible instructor! He's super patient, provides clear explanations, and is the perfect balance between being hands on and hands off. His classes helped me become more detail-oriented and better understand the intricacies of a well-crafted piece of jewelry. Ken is fun to work with and someone who is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. I couldn't recommend taking a class with him more!

Ken Fury is a phenomenal artist and teacher. It’s not often that you find artists at the top of a very competitive field who are also thoughtful, caring, and effective teachers. Ken has that rare combination of qualities. I saw this firsthand when I had the pleasure of observing a workshop he led in Zimbabwe in 2015, and his skills as a teacher have only deepened since then. I would not hesitate to recommend him to teach courses or lead workshops to young people or adults in any number of settings.
